Top School

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We are pleased to share some exciting news regarding Pioneer Regional Schools. The Center for Business and Economic Research (CBER) at Ball State University recently released a statewide study titled “A Value-Added Measure of School Performance in Indiana.” This report evaluates the impact school corporations have on student learning by examining the value schools add, while accounting for external factors beyond their control, such as socioeconomic conditions.

Based on this analysis, Pioneer Regional School Corporation has been recognized in BOTH the Top 10 school districts in Indiana for overall value-added performance AND the Top 10 most improved school districts in the state. Notably, Pioneer is one of only a few districts to earn recognition on both lists—an accomplishment that reflects both excellence and continuous growth.

For your reference, we have attached a highlighted version of the study previously shared with our staff, as well as the article published in the Pharos-Tribune. This information has also been shared with local media outlets and is available on our district website.

We are incredibly proud of our students and staff for their ongoing dedication and hard work, which have made this achievement possible. This recognition is a direct result of their commitment to learning and excellence. As previously shared, our students continue to demonstrate strong academic performance, including outstanding 8th-grade mathematics results last spring (#1 in the state) and promising SAT outcomes this year.

Thank you for your continued support of Pioneer Regional Schools. We are excited about the progress we are making and look forward to continuing this positive momentum.
